Description

A refreshing salad combining creamy avocados and sweet mangoes, perfect for summer picnics or as a vibrant side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, diced
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1/4 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the diced avocados, mango, red onion, and jalapeño (if using).
  2. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture to add flavor and prevent browning.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing gently to avoid mashing the avocados.
  4. If desired, sprinkle freshly chopped cilantro on top for garnish.
  5. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by chopping ingredients a few hours in advance, but keep avocado separate until just before serving to maintain texture.
