Description

A delightful fusion of sweetness and tanginess with tender baked pears, creamy feta, chewy cranberries, and a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the halved pears cut side up in a baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the pears and season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta cheese, chopped cranberries, thyme leaves, and honey.
  5. Fill each pear half with the feta mixture, pressing gently into the cavity.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the pears are tender and slightly caramelized.
  7. Optional: Top with chopped walnuts before serving. Plate the pears warm.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the filling a day in advance. Avoid using overripe pears to ensure they maintain shape during baking.
