A vibrant and crunchy salad with fresh broccoli, crispy bacon, and a creamy dressing, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 10–11 strips bacon (cooked, crispy)
- 2 heads broccoli (about 1 and 1/2 pounds or 5–6 cups, chopped)
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds (roasted and salted)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/3 cup chopped red onion
- 1 & 1/4 cups Miracle Whip or mayonnaise
- 1 lemon (zest and juice)
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 & 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
- Mix up the dressing by combining Miracle Whip, lemon zest, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, dry mustard, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Chop the broccoli into small florets.
- Combine the chopped broccoli with the dressing in the bowl.
- Add cranberries, sunflower seeds, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, and most of the bacon (reserve some for topping).
- Toss all ingredients together until the broccoli is coated with dressing.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare ingredients in advance and store them separately until ready to toss.
