Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty.
  3. Let the brown butter cool slightly, then mix it with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; then add to the wet ingredients, folding gently.
  6. Stir in toffee bits and chocolate chips if using.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden, the center should seem slightly underbaked.
  9. Let cool before enjoying.
