Deliciously satisfying Buffalo Chicken Bacon Mozzarella Bombs that combine crispy fried goodness with tender chicken, smoky bacon, and gooey mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (cut into cubes)
- 6 slices Cooked Bacon (crumbled)
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 large Eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular)
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, buffalo sauce, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Form cheese cubes: Take a small portion of the filling and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the filling around it, rolling it into a ball.
- Coat the bombs: Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Roll each ball into flour, dip it into egg, and coat it in breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil: In a deep fryer or heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the bombs: Add the bombs to the hot oil, frying for about 4–5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare and form the bombs a day ahead and store in the fridge until ready to fry. For a healthier option, bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes.
