- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.
- Cook the cherry tomatoes: Toss in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes.
- Create the cream sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently. Allow to come to a simmer.
- Combine: Add the cooked pasta and chopped basil, tossing to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce.
- Season: Taste and season with salt and pepper to suit your preference.
- Serve: Dish out immediately and sprinkle with grated Parmesan if desired.
Notes
You can prepare the sauce in advance and reheat when ready to serve. For flavor enhancement, add red pepper flakes or fresh lemon juice before serving.
