Description

Delightful and crispy mozzarella sticks with a spicy Nashville twist, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp Nashville hot chicken seasoning
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Hot sauce (to drizzle on top)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice the cheese into thick sticks, approximately 1 inch wide.
  2. Set up your dipping stations with flour, beaten eggs, and panko seasoned with Nashville hot seasoning.
  3. Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, and finally the panko mixture.
  4. Freeze the coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
  5. Heat the oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the mozzarella sticks in small batches until they turn golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  7. Drain them on paper towels, drizzle with hot sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For a healthier version, try air-frying at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes or oven-baking at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
