- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp Nashville hot chicken seasoning
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
- Hot sauce (to drizzle on top)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the cheese into thick sticks, approximately 1 inch wide.
- Set up your dipping stations with flour, beaten eggs, and panko seasoned with Nashville hot seasoning.
- Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, and finally the panko mixture.
- Freeze the coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in small batches until they turn golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Drain them on paper towels, drizzle with hot sauce, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
For a healthier version, try air-frying at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes or oven-baking at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
