- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or crispy chicken tenders
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 pack sweet Hawaiian rolls
- 6 slices provolone or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare your chicken: Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes per side, then shred.
- Make the hot honey sauce: Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a saucepan, whisk in honey and hot sauce, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Combine shredded chicken with about two-thirds of the sauce in a bowl.
- Assemble the sliders: Place the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls in a baking dish, layer with chicken, pickle chips, and cheese, then cover with the top half of the rolls.
- Add flavor by mixing remaining butter and garlic powder, brush on rolls.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Customize with different cheeses or add jalapeños for extra heat. Can be prepared ahead of time and baked before serving.
