Description

Experience the delightful blend of sweet and spicy flavors with these Hot Honey Chicken Sliders, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or crispy chicken tenders
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 pack sweet Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices provolone or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your chicken: Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes per side, then shred.
  3. Make the hot honey sauce: Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a saucepan, whisk in honey and hot sauce, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Combine shredded chicken with about two-thirds of the sauce in a bowl.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Place the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls in a baking dish, layer with chicken, pickle chips, and cheese, then cover with the top half of the rolls.
  6. Add flavor by mixing remaining butter and garlic powder, brush on rolls.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Customize with different cheeses or add jalapeños for extra heat. Can be prepared ahead of time and baked before serving.
