Description

Delightful poppers filled with tender chicken, zesty jalapeños, and rich cheddar cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup sour cream (for dip)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (for dip)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for dip)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, and diced jalapeños; mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into compact balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Set up a breading station: place flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
  4. Dredge each chicken ball in flour, dip in eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat; fry poppers for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the dip, mix sour cream, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  7. Serve the poppers hot with the creamy dip.

Notes

Prepare the chicken mixture a day in advance for optimal freshness. Use an air fryer or oven for healthier cooking options.
