Description

A gourmet twist on a classic grilled cheese sandwich with creamy melted cheese and sweet blueberries.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, white, or whole grain)
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or goat cheese)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • Butter
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Generously butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
  4. Add cheese slices on top of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle fresh blueberries over the cheese.
  6. Drizzle honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  8. Press down lightly and grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Flip carefully and grill the other side until the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from skillet, slice diagonally, and enjoy warm.

Notes
