Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and cracked black pepper.
  4. Arrange the chicken breasts in the baking dish.
  5. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble over the chicken.
  6. Prepare the sauce by whisking together maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  7. Combine everything by drizzling the sauce over the chicken and bacon.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Notes

Make-ahead tips include marinating chicken overnight for enhanced flavor. Experiment with different proteins or add vegetables.
