Ingredients

- 1 lb (450g) pork mince (ground pork)
- 1 packet French onion soup mix (or 1 cup sautéed onions + 1 tsp onion powder)
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella)
- Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
- Chili flakes, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine pork mince, French onion soup mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and slice them in half lengthwise. Place a portion of the filling along one edge and roll up the pastry, sealing with water or egg wash.
- Beat the egg and milk together, then brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Place the rolls on the prepared tray and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For added flavor, experiment with different types of cheese or spices. Feel free to prepare the filling in advance to save time.
