Description

A delightful amalgamation of tender beef and silky egg noodles in a luscious, sticky sauce, perfect for cozy dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Egg Noodles: Begin by boiling salted water and cooking the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once tender, drain and set aside.
  2. Mix the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir until well mixed and the cornstarch dissolves completely.
  3. Heat the Skillet: On medium-high heat, warm the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok until shimmering.
  4. Cook the Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet. Sprinkle salt and pepper over it. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add the Sauce: Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and reduce the heat slightly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and glistens beautifully.
  6. Combine Noodles and Beef: Toss the cooked egg noodles into the skillet, mixing well so every strand is cloaked in the savory sauce.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Finish with chopped green onions as a garnish and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, let your beef marinate in the sauce mixture for a short while before cooking. Can prepare sauce in advance for deeper flavors.
