Description

A luxurious chocolate mousse that combines creamy textures with a delicate biscuit base, perfect for celebrating New Year’s Eve.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz high-quality dark chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Whip the cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Beat the egg whites in another bowl until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine the melted chocolate with the whipped cream gently.
  5. Add the beaten egg whites carefully until just incorporated.
  6. Chill in individual cups for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate and aquafaba as an egg substitute.
