- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Combine dry ingredients by whisking together flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Create the dough mixture by adding the egg, melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture. Combine with dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Shape the rolls by rolling out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped pistachios. Roll up tightly and slice into equal pieces.
- Second rise the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drizzle with honey while still warm.
Notes
For a quicker method, use an air fryer and adjust cooking time to 15-20 minutes at 320°F (160°C).
