Description

A decadent chocolate cake layered with creamy chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and a drizzle of caramel, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13-inch cake pan.
  2. Combine 2 cups of chocolate cake mix, 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 3 large eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Let the cake cool completely in its pan on a wire rack.
  5. Poke holes into the cake using a fork, spaced about one inch apart.
  6. Pour 2 cups of chocolate pudding over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  7. Spread 1 cup of whipped topping over the pudding layer with a spatula.
  8. Drizzle 1/2 cup of caramel sauce over the top, adding optional chocolate chips and crushed nuts if desired.
  9. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
