- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb chicken breast, skinless and boneless
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta & Broccoli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes, add the broccoli florets. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Chicken: Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chicken pieces, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Incorporate the Garlic: Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Melt the Cheese: Slowly stir in Parmesan cheese, letting it melt into the sauce.
- Combine and Serve: Add cooked pasta and broccoli to the skillet, tossing gently to coat. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute cream with chicken broth or milk. Add sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
