Description

Delightful chocolate-covered strawberries that offer a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and chocolaty flavors. A simple yet elegant dessert for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 24 extra-large strawberries, ripe
  • 1/3 cup baking soda (for washing berries)
  • 4 to 8 oz dark chocolate melts
  • 4 to 8 oz milk chocolate melts
  • 4 oz white chocolate melts
  • 1 to 2 tsp shortening (if needed)
  • Optional: Sprinkles and finely diced nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by washing them in a mix of cold water and baking soda, rinsing well and drying completely.
  2. Choose your melting method: using a double boiler or microwave to melt chocolate until smooth.
  3. Dip each strawberry into melted chocolate, letting excess drip off before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Melt white chocolate for drizzling and create patterns over dipped strawberries using a fork.
  5. Add any desired sprinkles or nuts before chocolate sets.
  6. Create tuxedo strawberries by dipping half in dark chocolate and half in white chocolate for a charming presentation.
  7. Store decorated strawberries in the refrigerator on a parchment-lined tray for 30 minutes to set.
