- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1–2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Prepare the coating by mixing flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
- Fry each piece of chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make the hot honey sauce by warming honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan.
- Combine the fried chicken with the hot honey just before serving.
Notes
