Description

A luxurious breakfast casserole made with flaky croissants, creamy cheese, and hearty breakfast sausage.


Ingredients

  • 4 flaky croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella)
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until completely smooth.
  3. Layer the torn croissant pieces in the greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled sausage or bacon and half of the shredded cheese over the croissants.
  5. Pour the egg mixture gently over the top.
  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes
