Description

Indulge in these rich, gooey cookies filled with dark chocolate and salted caramel, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chunks, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop out the dough, make an indentation in the center, fill with a dollop of salted caramel, and cover with more dough.
  8. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are soft.
  10. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top after removing from the oven.
  11. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
