Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Scoop out the dough, make an indentation in the center, fill with a dollop of salted caramel, and cover with more dough.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are soft.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top after removing from the oven.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
