Description

A delightful and easy blueberry pie filling that elevates any dessert with its sweet and tangy flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine the fresh blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, salt, and optional cinnamon in a medium saucepan.
  2. Pour in the water and gently stir to combine.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly as the mixture thickens.
  4. Once it starts to bubble, reduce heat to low and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Notes
