- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Frosting of your choice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before transferring to a wire rack.
