Description

A mouthwatering recipe for grilled beef with a robust marinade, perfect for summer barbecues and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Tortillas for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper until beautifully combined.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag, pour the marinade over it, and seal the bag tightly.
  3. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side until your desired doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.
  7. Serve in warm tortillas, garnishing with freshly chopped cilantro and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For best results, marinate overnight and use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
