- 2 slices bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 2 slices cheese
- 1 tbsp butter or mayonnaise
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Optional: Tomato slices
- Optional: Red onion slices
- Optional: Spinach or arugula
- Optional: Hot sauce or red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Prepare the avocado by slicing or mashing it. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over it.
- Warm the chicken in the microwave or skillet if not already warm.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering cheese, chicken, avocado, and any optional toppings on one slice of bread.
- Butter the outer sides of both slices of bread.
- Grill on medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese bubbles.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
Notes
