- 2 Ripe Avocados
- 1/4 Onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- 1 Lime, juiced and zested
- 1 Jalapeño, chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1–2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Tomato, diced
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Start by slicing the ripe avocados in half. Remove the pit carefully and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Decide how you want your guacamole—smooth or chunky. For a creamy consistency, mash the avocado with a fork.
- Finely chop the onion, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, and tomato. Add them to the bowl.
- Squeeze in the fresh lime juice and sprinkle the lime zest over the mixture.
- Give everything a good stir until well combined.
- Season with salt to taste. Serve fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
Guacamole is best enjoyed fresh, but can be made a few hours ahead. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning.
