Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Toss in the chicken cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree, then add the heavy cream, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
  6. Reduce heat and let the sauce gently simmer for 20-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with cilantro just before serving.
  8. Serve hot with basmati rice or naan.
