Description

A deliciously spicy twist on classic pigs in a blanket, combining jalapeños, creamy cheese, and savory sausage wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package little sausages (cocktail sausages or mini hot dogs)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out your pastry or dough into neat squares about 3×3 inches.
  3. Place a generous dollop of cream cheese and a slice of jalapeño on each square.
  4. Add a little sausage on top of the cream cheese and jalapeño.
  5. Wrap the dough around each sausage and seal the ends.
  6. Brush melted butter over the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional spices or different cheeses. Great for parties and gatherings.
