Description

Easy-to-make brownies with a fudgy texture and rich chocolate flavor, created in one bowl for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the melted butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, whisking until glossy.
  3. Crack in the eggs and add the vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, swap all-purpose flour for a gluten-free blend. Customize with add-ins like sea salt or nuts.
