Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

- Combine the wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat together the sugar and vegetable oil, then mix in the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla.
- Add red food coloring until you achieve your desired shade.
- Blend the dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.
- Frost with cream cheese frosting once the cake is completely cooled.
