Description

A delicious sticky glazed chicken dish featuring a sweet-savory glaze made with soy sauce and honey, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch Ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar (Rice or Apple Cider)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Green Onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, vinegar, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well mixed.
  2. Place the chicken into the glaze, ensuring each piece is generously coated. For deeper flavor, marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if time allows.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup (if using the oven).
  5. Arrange the marinated chicken on your prepared baking sheet or grill, ensuring pieces have enough space to cook evenly.
  6. Cook the chicken, basting with leftover marinade every 10 minutes, for approximately 25-30 minutes.
  7. Check the internal temperature; remove the chicken once it reaches 165°F (75°C). Let it rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
