Description

A visually stunning cake combining rich chocolate layers, creamy filling, and bursts of fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, water, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. Beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter, spreading it evenly but not to the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Seal in the filling by pouring the remaining cake batter over the top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before topping with whipped cream.

Notes

Try using fresh strawberries for the best flavor, but frozen strawberries can be used if thawed and drained.
