- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat, then stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
- Pour half of your brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle half of your caramel sauce and coffee over the brownie base.
- Carefully pour the remaining batter over the caramel mix and drizzle the remaining caramel and coffee on top, swirling gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely, then cut into squares and garnish.
